Don`t expect to watch Ryu face off against Scorpion anytime soon.
Ed Boon has responded to people who believe that his twitter posts are teases of future projects from NetherRealm, saying “not everything is a klue”.
After a fan said to Ed Boon that he wasn`t certain which tweets were teasers and which were simply tweets, these topics were discussed. The idea was sparked when Boon launched a poll asking his followers to vote on which of the Street Fighter games they preferred.
Ed Boon responded to a fan who inquired if it was a hint at the future of the game. Boon said that not every tweet was an attempt to explain what we`re doing. I hope that will help”.
This thread was the continuation of an earlier thread where Ed Boon talked about how creating games is a challenge because fans require it. Ed posted a piece of fan-art to Mortal Kombat x Street Fighter. Then he was asked why it hadn`t happened. He replied that “2 different publishers adds complexity.” It`s more complex than “people are interested, so they`ll do it”.
Ed Boon is known for beinga bit of an internet trollwith his tweets regarding teaser announcements, and news about games. He makes references to Rain in Mortal Kombat all the time. However, it appears thatdespite knowing his limitshowever, he does not want his Tweets to be analyzed.
It`s not too difficult to imagine that Ed Boon might be a bit bored of being teased, especially considering that every tweet he posts is taken as a tease of the upcoming NetherRealm game. Most of Ed`s replies to Tweets pertain to fans who are asking for another Kombat Pack or lamenting his decision to stop development on Mortal Kombat 11. Following Ed Boon tweeted about the possibility that a Marvel fighting video was possible, rumours began surrounding the development team. It was thought to be an indication that it could be being planned.
